Assembling
All the parts which are necessary for assembling are contained. You only solder it!
A MIDI cable, an AC/DC adapter (9V) and a spacer (the foot of the circuit board) aren't contained.
Prepare separately if necessary, please.

The pattern drawing of the PCB(PDF): This is the circuit board contained in this kit.
You can use that if you do making it yourself.
Connection

Function
PROGRAM CHANGE : P/UP, P/DOWN Button
Changing the note number is done by P/UP and P/DOWN button.
Each time this button is pushed, the MIDI message is transmitted to the outside from a MIDIOUT terminal, and it increases or decreases from the current number.
When this button is push-and-hold, It is fed rapidly.
PROGRAM CHANGE is the function which midicck-CS4 has.
DAMPER : DAMPER Button
Damper button does the same function as damper pedal of the piano.
The sound played after this button is pushed is sustaining, until this button is released. (There is a note which sustaining is ineffective in from the first.)
DAMPER is the function which midicck-CS4 has.
INDICATOR : Monitor LED
This is the monitor LED which indicates the MIDI transmitting message and self initialization.
INDICATOR is the function which midicck-CS4 has.
VELOCITY CURVE SELECT : VEL.SEL. Jumper
This is the JUMPER for selecting the velocity curves.
When this JUMPER is opening, Flat is chosen, and other hand, S-curve is chosen at the time of the short circuit.
The FLAT is suitable for the tone of the instrument with no change in volume such as the organ or the cembalo. And other hand, S-CURVE is suitable for the tone such as the piano.
VELOCITY CURVE SELECT is the function which midicck-CS4 has.
VELOCITY ADJUSTMENT : VEL.ADJ. Button
It is the button to shift to the mode which changes the sensitivity of velocity.
That setup can be changed with this button and the combination of the keyboard's switches.
As shown in the figure, in constant time, the KT12 repeats subtraction from the maximum value(127) to know the velocity value.
VELOCITY ADJUSTMENT can set up that constant time.
Therefore, It have to set longer time for the constant time if you use the switches which does have widely gap.
The gap in the switch(D3C-1220 OMRON) being used for this evaluation board is 1mm.
And the default value of the constant time of midicck-KT12 is 12.8 micro-second.
That can be chosen from 12 preset in the range from 3.2 micro-second to 6.6 milli-second.
The definite way of changing it is to see the reference manual of KT12.
NOTE NUMBER CHANGE :NOTE NUM. Button
It is the button to shift to the mode which changes the note number.
That setup can be changed with this button and the combination of the keyboard's switches.
When note number of the lowest key (K1) is actually specified, the rest of the keys (K2~K12) are assigned automatically.
The K1 of KT12 is set up in C (MIDI note number 60) as the default.
The definite way of changing it is to see the reference manual of KT12.
